Yeast converter
Replace one yeast type with another accurately. FlourPilot uses a single, documented ratio system: fresh yeast is the reference, with active dry and instant expressed relative to it.
Result
10 grams (Fresh yeast) = 5 grams (Active dry yeast)
- Ratio used
- 1 Fresh yeast = 0.5 Active dry yeast
- Formula
- fresh equivalent = amount ÷ from ratio; result = fresh equivalent × to ratio
Assumptions
FlourPilot uses the working ratio fresh : active dry : instant = 1 : 0.5 : 0.4 by weight. This means 10 g fresh yeast equals 5 g active dry or 4 g instant. These ratios are practical baking guidance, not laboratory values.

Guides
Yeast types are interchangeable in baking, but only if you convert the amount. Fresh yeast, active dry yeast, and instant yeast have different concentrations, so you cannot swap them gram for gram. This guide explains the ratio and how to use it.
